How to find us

BY CAR from the A1: Leave the A1 at Junction 51 (Leeming, Bedale) N.B. Ignore the Satnav if it tells you to go further on the A1. Take the A684 heading towards Hawes follow the road through Wensley, West Witton and Aysgarth until you reach Bainbridge. Do not continue to Hawes but turn right passing  The Rose and Crown Inn, out past The Yoredale House Hotel and then turn left towards Hardraw. After 3 miles turn right up to Sedbusk.   This is about 29 miles and will take about 40 minutes.

BY CAR from the M6. Leave the M6 at Junction 37 to Sedbergh. After passing through Sedbergh, turn right towards Hawes. Just follow the road but before you get to Hawes take the road to the left signposted Hardraw. Go through Hardraw and take the second turn left to Sedbusk.

BY TRAIN. We are only about 10 minutes away from Gardale Station on the iconic Settle to Carlisle line. From London you would travel from Kings Cross to Leeds (about 2 hours 20 minutes) and change trains at Leeds for Garsdale. This latter stage takes a further 1 and a half hours but it is through some of the most beautiful countryside, and of course over the famous Ribblehead Viaduct, with its 24 stone arches. Even our daughter puts her book down to take in the magnificent views!   See “Trainline” for timetables and pricing.

To get from Garsdale Station to Dales View, just contact the Little White Bus  in advance and they will arrange to meet you at the station and take you to Sedbusk for a nominal fee.

FINDING the HOUSE. All houses in Sedbusk have the same postcode so the Satnav will not help!. As you come up the hill to Sedbusk you will see a white house on your right; this is Dales View but the primary access is from the rear. Drive past the house and immediately there is a narrow passage on the right which takes you to the rear door (The porch, not the shed!!). It is easier to reverse in and even if cars are parked nearby it should not be a problem. There is enough space for at least 3 cars by the lean-to garage or by the rear porch,
