The interior

The entire property has been re-plumbed and re-wired and the majority re-plastered, and soft wood double glazed windows have been installed throughout along with traditional style cast iron radiators.

The property benefits from mains electricity, water and drainage with oil central heating, which is complemented by the large multi-fuel stove in the sitting room.

The front door opens directly into a large sitting room with maple flooring and an extremely efficient multi-fuel stove which is connected to the central heating boiler. To the right is a good size dining room with flagged floor. Both reception rooms are of generous proportions and benefit from wonderful exposed timbers and small areas of bare stone creating a lovely finish.

Moving through into the hallway where the original flagged floor still rests there is room for plenty of coat hanging space which in turn leads round to the cheese room or dairy with its classic old cheese shelves and flagged floor. The kitchen has a more modern feel with its tiled floor and exposed roof timbers but also new fitted units which are all integrated with white goods and its clean lines. A back door leads out to a rear porch which would probably be the main point of entry into the property.

Stairs from the hall lead to the first floor where all the floors are pine which has been cleverly aged along with the more original pine panelled doors which are full of character. There are two large double bedrooms on the front of the property facing south with fabulous views over the Dale, and one has been further enhanced by the fitting of window seats. There is a further small double bedroom with fitted cupboards, which also houses the hot water tank. Bedroom four is a single room. The family bathroom has a bath with shower over, wash hand basin, heated towel rail and a wonderfully traditional WC. There is also a shower room with large shower cubicle, wash hand basin and WC.

The exterior

There are pleasant front gardens which are laid to lawn with flower beds along the sides. There are secure stone walls to the flanks and these are topped at the front by traditional wrought iron railings creating a safe environment for children and pets. A  flagged path runs from the garden gate to the front door and the views from the garden south towards Hawes and the hills beyond are as good as any in the Dale.

There is vehicular access to the rear of the property where there is a flagged/cobbled yard with a gravelled parking area for several cars. The central heating boiler is located just outside the back porch where there is also a stone built coal/log store. There is a lean-to garage constructed in timber and a large barn that can be used to store bikes.
